About college

   The mission of the college is to make a significant contribution to social development through the generation of new knowledge and the training of highly qualified, competitive specialists and creative individuals.
   To date, about 500 future specialists are receiving professional education at the college at two departments of full-time and part-time forms of education. The college trains professional junior bachelors in five majors: 201 Agronomy, 211 Veterinary Medicine, 204 Production and Processing Technology of Livestock Products, 071 Accounting and Taxation, 072 Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market.The educational process is provided by 50 teachers, including 35 teachers of the highest qualification category, 10 Methodist teachers. For scientific and methodical development and publication of books, pedagogical work and agricultural achievements, the college staff was repeatedly awarded certificates of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.The material and technical base of the college is represented by two educational buildings, which house 48 offices and laboratories, 4 computer classrooms with access to the Internet, a modern library, a reading room, an assembly hall with 450 seats, a sports hall. For practical training, there is an educational and experimental field, an educational and industrial clinic of veterinary medicine, an educational hospital, a greenhouse, an educational and industrial workshop, and an educational accounting office.
   Students undergo production technological and pre-diploma internships in the best enterprises and institutions of the agrarian, industrial and financial sectors of Ukraine.
   A dormitory, a sports and recreation complex, an assembly hall, a dining room with 220 seats, a buffet are at the disposal of students.
   College students are regular participants of regional and all-Ukrainian Olympiads, competitions, and festivals(All-Ukrainian Festival-Competition “Sofia Dawns”, All-Ukrainian Review-Competition “Housing – My Home”, Regional Inter-University Review-Competition of Artistic Self-Activity “Student Spring”, Regional Competition “Best Student of the Year”, All-Ukrainian Competition “Best Agrarian Practice”, All-Ukrainian Ukrainian Language Olympiad named after Petro Yatsik, Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition for Pupils and Student Youth, etc.)
   The college pays special attention to physical education and mass sports, which have become an important component of the process of full-fledged development of a person and his education, preparation for productive work, protection of the Motherland, organization of meaningful leisure time.
   The pride of the college is its graduates who work in various positions in agro-industrial formations, are heads of production units, employees of management bodies, famous scientists and just good people.
   Working fruitfully for more than 100 years, Novochortoriy Technological and Economic College is a center of agricultural education in Zhytomyr Region.
   Our educational institution gave a path to life for about 12,000 specialists of the most honorable agricultural professions on earth.
